American Idol 6 - 4/25/07 Idol Gives Back in More Ways Than One

I find it very interesting while at dinner last night before my rehearsal I was telling my friend Melanie I thought the big tease Ryan gave was that there was going to be no elimination tonight and they would have to get rid of two people next week.

I got home at 9:45 while Anne Lennox was singing and then there was the tease about the most shocking elimination ever. As Ryan had Chris and Jordin stand and told Chris he was safe I won't say what choice words I had to say for America and with poor Jordin looking like a deer in the headlights and then telling her she was safe and then announcing there would be no elimination but the votes would be added to next week's votes and the bottom 2 will be sent home.

It was extremely cruel not to have told the contestants, there was my Jordin crying her eyes out.

Then after it was over I rewound my tape and watched the show. Over 70,000,000 votes which I helped with of course.

Next week we get 4 hours to vote as well, yeah! I will be having dress rehearsal so I should at least be able to get in my normal two hours of voting anyway.

I actually liked the show and watched the entire thing. It goes much faster when you can fast forward through the commercials with the exception of the Ford one with the contestants. There were some great performances.

The Ford commercial this week was really good as well.

I noticed he who should not be named was in the audience and there were several good items about it. I did laugh out loud when Eric McCormick made his plea by saying that if every one who voted for he who should not be named gave just a dollar, think of how many would be helped.

Then after Jack Black sang and Simon told him he was better then he who should not be named, that was good. Then Paula with her the School of Rock wants their diploma back.

We got Quincy Jones writing a special number for the contestants, "Time To Care". I really liked the performance and their closing number was brilliant.

Next week two will go home and we will be in the home stretch to watch Jordin take home the American Idol crown!
