American Idol 6 - Results 4/4/07 and there are now 8

There is no joy in Mudville this morning. Yesterday evening started out well, my rehearsal went swimmingly but after dropping off someone I was headed home and my car died on me so I had to have it towed. I then got home rewound my tape and got the crushing news that he whose name should not be uttered was safe one again and my beloved Gina was singing her last song at least until the concert tour.

It was especially sad because as Gina was singing "Smile", the emotion of the song was coming through because she was living it, if only those emotions had come through on Tuesday night we might have had a different ending.

There were over 33 million votes cast, the most so far this season.

The Top 3 were Jordin, Melinda, LaKisha, the middle 3 were Blake, Chris and he who should not be mentioned.

The Bottom 3 were Haley, Gina and Phil with Phil sent back as safe.

My only comfort would be that he who should not be named is closer to the bottom and the contestants I want to win are at the top.

Poor Tony Bennett caught the flu so we got to hear Michael Buble sing. I like this artist, I have his albums and I have been to his concerts, great performer.

There was no happy feet dancing last night but I will look on the bright side and know there is next week to hope for.
