American Idol 7 - 4/10/08 - And There were now 7
I honestly was speechless last night when I learned who was eliminated. America always finds a way to surprise and usually not in a good way. It just boggles my mind how people think when they are voting.
I guess it is why the show succeeds, build your hopes and crush them down.
Last night's results show dragged just a bit for me. I think it was the continued clips from "Idol Gives Back" which they couldn't fit into Wednesday's 2 1/2 hour fest.
I must admit the opening group number of "Shout to The Lord" was an interesting song choice given the more religious nature of the song on a fairly secular show. There were plenty of inspirational songs that could have been done.
My favorite moment of the show was Jordin Sparks appearance, she is looking very hot. She had some killer shoes. Her duet with Chris Brown is really good and there was definite vibes between the two of them.
Last night's Ford commercial was my favorite to date. The song choice was good and I really liked the artistry of the video. Excellent job.
I was two-thirds correct about the bottom 3 but totally off on who was leaving. Michael Johns hopes for the title was dashed.
I thought the judge's comments to him were very heartfelt and Paula was certainly showing it during the end credits. Simon was very gracious and there were genuinely surprised because I could tell they thought Syesha was leaving.
It has been a very interesting Idol week. I will be in Texas next week so I will see it early and can vote for 4 hours versus two because I can use the phone there and then my cell phone. Yeah!
Until next week….
