AI 9 3-17-10 And now there are 11
I remember the good old days when the results show was only 30 minutes versus an hour. Those shows flew by now the filler we have to put up with is just ridiculous so Fox can make a few more bucks on commercials.
I must give a round of applause to the editors from last night’s dramatic opening because you would think after that we had the second coming of Jesus in the contestants of season 9 when in fact we do not. It is amazing what a little judicious editing will produce.
The Ford commercial was quick so there is not much to critic.
David Cook rocked the house last night. I mean he was freaking phenomenal. I am going to forget about his stupid haircut because the music was so good.
Now comparing David’s performance to the two performances from top-selling popular artists is like night and day. Orianthi and Keisha are what is wrong with modern music. They were horrible. Keisha could at least adequately lip-sync as opposed to Orianthi. Hell if those two were in the Top 12 my fingers would be flying to vote for everyone but them so they could make an early exit.
The judges save is back this season so we can now sit back and wait to see if they will use it or not.
As usual, my predictions for the bottom three was not very good. I only picked one out of three. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised that Paige and Tim ended up in the bottom three, which means their voting fans are not as strong. I hope that it will inspire them to try harder.
Luckily, my prediction of who would be singing us off was correct. Lacey ends her American Idol journey.
Until next week…
